Thickened and gelled beverages

In case the Institution uses gelled or thickened beverages, we can include, as part of the RistoSano® format, the distribution of thickened beverages with various flavours and sweetened with fructose or with low-calorie sweeteners.

In this case the distribution in the departments may be carried out using appropriate disposable containers with lids, provided by io sano® and according to predefined procedures and protocols. This system has already been tested in important healthcare structures.

The main advantages of using thickened drinks iosano can be summarised as follows:

• constant availability
• wide variety of flavours
• possibility of adjusting the consistency of the product according to different degrees of dysphagia

Another product that can be used in this same format is the milk and cookies shake, particularly useful for the preparation of breakfast for patients with swallowing problems.

Both thickened drinks and the milk and cookies shakes can be included in the RistoSano format with preparation and distribution in the central kitchen, as well as included directly in department kitchens within the BevoSano® service.
