Reduction environmental impact
Reducing the environmental impact is one main concern taken into consideration by all services of the company, especially in relation to the prevention of waste and the reduction of energy costs.
The results we achieved in waste prevention are mainly due to the use of freeze dried homogenised food, which, compared with traditional preparations, allows a drastic reduction in raw materials packaging and production waste during the preparation phases. Moreover, in comparison with pre-packaged homogenised products, this type of food allows the elimination of disposable plastic packaging.
The reduction of the energetic costs is due both to our system of distribution and delivery and to the phase of preparation. In fact, the RistoSano® system allows arranging the preparation and the distribution of foods also in centres with no kitchen, thus removing any need for transport.
Moreover, the RistoSano® system allows a significant reduction in energetic costs due to temperature maintenance, cooking, homogenisation and washing.
